Sip and Paint Night

The Alex Café Bar is excited to be hosting “The Funky Easel Sip & Paint Party”.

Get ready to unleash your inner artist while sipping on your favourite drinks.

The Funky Easel is a Sip & Paint experience that will light you up & unearth your inner artistic creativity! It’s an experience which offers you the opportunity to unwind, have fun with friends (or on your own) and do something completely different, whilst enjoying a glass of your favourite tipple!

The session starts at 7-9pm with Bluebell Woods. The Alex Café Bar is open throughout the afternoon to allow you time to order drinks and food if fancy a nibble before you begin.  (Food and drinks are to be purchased separately. The ticket price does not include this.)

You will be led by a professional artist, guiding you step by step through the process, offering individual tips and guidance, to create a finished work of art to take home at the end of the evening. No experience is necessary, and all artistic abilities are welcomed. All materials are also provided.

New Year’s Eve

Wednesday 31st December, from 7pm

Celebrate in style with a delicious three-course menu, starting with starters like curried butternut soup with apple crisps and rosemary croûte, or hot smoked salmon & beetroot salad with horseradish dressing.

For mains, choose from roast cornfed chicken breast with honey-glazed vegetables, 10oz rump steak with peppercorn sauce, or wild mushroom & caramelised shallot Wellington (V).

Finish your evening with desserts such as crêpes Suzette, glazed lemon tart, or a cheese board featuring Somerset Brie & Isle of Mull Cheddar.

Then keep the celebration going in The Café Bar with DJ Lee to dance your way into 2026!

Nostalgia Night

Nostalgia Night

Join us for a taste of the good old days, a throwback feast with 80’s music from Chelsea Francis.

Begin with sharing platters – think melon balls, Parma ham, devilled eggs and more. This is followed by a selection of classic 80s dishes with a modern twist, including Spam fritters, crispy pancakes and Chicken Kiev, all served to the table for sharing. Finish with Babysham sorbet and Devil’s Delight.

Dust off the leg warmers, pull on the neon, add the shoulder pads and embrace a night of nostalgia.
